Bridgestone elects its first woman on board

Sakie Fukushima has become the first woman to get a seat on the Bridgestone Corp. board.

According to CNN, Ms. Fukushima is one of Japan’s most influential managers; at the moment, she is the president of Korn/Ferry International and head of the firm’s client service department, too. She’s also a board member at Sony and Japan Stanford Association.
