Oryol to get $940m on 450th anniversary celebration
A total of $940m is to be spent to prepare for celebration of 450th anniversary of the city of Oryol, to be held in 2016, news agency RIA Novosti reports.
Of the total funding, $623m is reportedly to be allocated from the federal budget, $230m is to be assigned from the regional and the city budgets, and $87m is to be raised from the non-budgetary sources.
Under plans, the funds are to be spent on cultural and public events organization, repairs and restoration of various facilities in the city, and construction, reconstruction and modernization of buildings, roads and other facilities, to be used in celebration.
