Republic of Tatarstan company Kamgesenergostroy intends to build a $23.9m Dzhamig mosque in the city of Nizhnekamsk, Republic of Tatarstan, news agency REGNUM reports.
Under plans, the complex is to have a mosque for 3,200 attendants, as well as a Madrassa for 200 students, hotels, halal café and Muslim goods stores.
During religious holidays, a total of 20,000 believers will be able to pray at the square by the mosque, the news agency said.
Under the project, the mosque is to have two 76-meter minaret towers and two 52-meter minaret tower, viewable from the Kama river bank, as well as from access roads outside the town.
Timeframes for the project have yet to be disclosed.
