The Krasnodar region is allocating $8.5m to enable natural gas supply to residents of the Mostovsky District by 2011, the regional administration reports.
Currently only 40 percent of local households are provided with gas. The rest still have to use wood and coal.
Krasnodar Governor Alexander Tkachev has claimed the state of things is unacceptable, and pointed out the necessity to triple the speed of gasification.
