Krasnodar-based solar products manufacturer Solnechny Veter (Solar Wind) has announced $263m plans to build a plant to produce solar cells, modules and energy systems.
The firm's director and co-owner Marat Zaks said Moscow developer Konti would partner in the project.
The plant, to be built on a 4.6 hectare site, will have projected annual capacity to produce components able to generate 150 MW.
Construction is scheduled to start in late 2008 – early 2009 and last around two years.
